Rapid Transit System
A proposed underground transportation network connecting the airport, Las Vegas Boulevard, resort sites, and entertainment venues.
CONCEPT ARCHIVE
An unbuilt vision for hotels, sports, entertainment, and underground transportation on a Las Vegas scale.

Johnny traces the project’s origin to the early 1990s, when a collection of science-fiction films and posters inspired him to imagine a themed Las Vegas destination. By the late 1990s, the idea had become Flying Saucer Resorts: a proposal for multiple hotels, sports venues, an exposition center, and an underground transit network.
Johnny’s archive describes feasibility work, renderings, models, professional advisers, and discussions with prospective partners and licensors. It also states that a Harrah’s investor presentation occurred in September 2001 and that the project lost momentum after the September 11 attacks. Those details reflect Johnny’s account and materials; the resort was never built.
After the original venture’s bankruptcy, Johnny developed a later version under the Flying Saucer Entertainment name. This page preserves the history and conceptual architecture without presenting the plans as current or approved projects.
